Where to stay in Miami
Hotels
A hotel can be a great option if you have a smaller group. There are tons of (relatively) affordable boutique hotels in the Brickell and South Beach neighborhoods. Here are some options:
- Esmé Miami Beach: Chic Spanish-Mediterranean style boutique hotel
- SLS South Beach: Famous, luxury beachside hotel
- Selina Miami River: Trendy hotel from the famous hostel brand

Airbnbs
Airbnbs are the better option if you have a larger group or want more privacy. The nicer ones are quite expensive per night, but can be affordable when split between a bunch of people.
When you’re searching, make sure to filter the things that matter to you most: a pool, private bedrooms, specific location, etc!
- Luxe 4-bedroom with pool, Brickell: This is where we stayed and we really enjoyed it. Spacious, great location, and had a cool wall to take photos in front of!
- Stunning 4-bedroom with pool, Miami Shores: Farther from the action, but a very cool house with a great backyard
- Atypical 4-bedroom villa, Wynwood: Cute house within walking distance to tons of cool coffee shops and restaurants
How to get to Miami
There are two major airports you can fly into: Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Miami Airport is closer to the city and will most likely have cheaper flights.
From both airports, you can hail a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft to get to the city. Depending on surge pricing and your final location, prices can range anywhere between $20 and $80 USD.
Miami girls trip: Day 1
Depending on what time your flight lands on the first day of your Miami girls’ trip weekend, you can tweak this itinerary as you see fit. I’m assuming that you have at least two full days to enjoy all that Miami has to offer.
Brunch
A boozy or bottomless brunch is a staple for any girls trip. There’s nothing better than eating some good food and pounding back mimosas on a sunny day. That being said, try not to go too hard at your first brunch — there’s still a lot of fun places to go later in the day!
Here are some options in the South Beach neighborhood:
- Nikki Beach: One of the most popular spots in the area, Nikki Beach is a beach club slash restaurant with laid-back tropical vibes. They also do Rosé Saturdays every week from 12 PM to 6 PM!
- Palace: $45 bottomless brunches on Ocean Drive that come with over-the-top drag shows
- Limonada: Fresh brunch with daily happy hour and drink specials
- Orange Blossom: Bottomless Aperol Spritz brunches with cool outdoor patio seating
- Gianni’s Restaurant: Mediterranean food located in the former Versace Mansion
- Sweet Liberty: Sunday brunch with bottomless rosé
And here are a few more options in the Brickell and Wynwood neighborhoods:
- No. 3 Social: Rooftop bar and lounge with bottomless mimosas
- B Bistro + Bakery: Freshly-baked bread and pastries with wine- and sake-based cocktails in Brickell
- tap42: $25 bottomless drink spot in Midtown
- R House Wynwood: Funky drag brunch with amazing food
Pool or beach
Spend the rest of the morning/afternoon relaxing by the pool or beach. We opted for the pool at our Airbnb to save money on Ubers and it was amazing. Definitely bring some fun floaties to relax and take pictures with!
- The classic engagement ring floatie for all the brides-to-be
- A giant flamingo floatie
- Various mini floaties to hold your drinks
You’ll have quite a few options if you opt to go to the beach. South Beach stretches all the way down the coast, and there is tons to do. If you’re staying at a hotel in the area, you’ll be able to rent some beach chairs and chill. Otherwise, you can either post up on the sand with a blanket or hit up a day club. Hyde Beach, Surfcomber, and Baia Beach Club are good options.
If you’re staying in Wynwood or Brickell, Joia Beach Club is also super fun! It’s closer than Miami Beach and has a really cute aesthetic. The appetizers and drinks are delicious as well.
Dinner
Dinner in Miami can be as chill or as outrageous as you want it to be. You’ll find all types of cuisines, but Latin American, Mexican, and Asian fusion are especially popular. Try to make reservations in advance, especially if you have a larger group!
Brickell and Wynwood
- Moshi Moshi: Amazing sushi & Japanese restaurant
- CVI.CHE 105: Hip Peruvian food and cocktails with locations in both Downtown Miami and Miami Beach
- Coyo Taco: Casual spot for Mexican street food
- niu kitchen: Classy tapas restaurant and wine bar
Miami Beach — Española Way in particular is a fun street
- Bodega Taqueria y Tequila South Beach: It’s all in the name!
- Juvia: Rooftop restaurant and lounge with views over South Beach
- Chotto Matte: Japanese Peruvian fusion with a cool vibe
- El Carnival: Super fun atmosphere and creative cocktails
- PLANTA | South Beach: Unique vegan restaurant with a trendy interior
Night out
Hitting up the Miami nightlife scene is an absolute must on your girls trip.
Just like in Las Vegas, being in a group of girls will get you a ton of free perks on your night out. Before your trip, search for #miamipromoter on Instagram — this is a great way to connect with promoters that will be able to get you on the guest list and often can even get you table service and/or free bottles.
Chiller, laid-back spots
- The Wharf: This is a spacious spot on the river with tons of outdoor couches and places to sit. The vibe can be more or less chill depending on which night you go, but Friday night and Saturday night are generally good bets.
- Mango’s Tropical Cafe: Restaurant slash nightclub with live music and fun cocktails
- Lost Boy: Old-school hangout with bar games
Late-night clubs
- E11EVEN: Half strip club, half night club, E11EVEN is a complete experience. Definitely make sure to get on the guest list before you go because the line on a weekend night is insane.
- STORY: Popular place in Miami Beach with a lively dance floor
- Do Not Sit on the Furniture: A chiller, underground dance club
Miami girls trip: Day 2
Coffee/breakfast
After your crazy first night out last night, you’ll need to fuel up before setting out on the boat today. Here are some casual coffee shops to check out:
- Rosetta Bakery: Italian bakery with a super cute interor
- Pura Vida: Healthy chain with breakfast bowls, smoothies, and coffee
- ARCH Café: Cozy spot with really nice workers and filling food
- Panther Coffee: Hip spot with amazing coffee drinks
Boat day
Chartering a boat for a few hours is another must-do Miami activity! There is so much water around that not getting out on it at some point is a sin. It’s not as expensive as you would expect, either, especially if you have a larger group!
Your starting point and route will be different depending on who you book with, but generally you’ll boat around the bay for a bit before docking up to swim. This was such a fun experience and one of the highlights of our Miami girls trip!
Dinner
After a long day out drinking in the sun, you’ll probably want to do something more chill for dinner on your second night. If your group bought groceries, this would be the perfect opportunity to cook dinner as a group and save some money!
If cooking is too much of a stretch, ordering takeout is another great idea. UberEats and Doordash will be your best friends.
Night out
Hopefully by nighttime, you’re ready to rage once again. Here are a few more suggestions for places to go out in Miami!
Where to start your night
- Mama Tried: Chill, retro cocktail lounge with a good vibe
- Dirty Rabbit Wynwood: Very fun place with a DJ and interesting rabbit-themed decor
Where to end your night
- Club Space: Great spot for all the raver babies out there! We had a blast here and stayed out way past our bedtimes.
- LIV: Another popular South Beach club for people that love to dance
- Centro: Lively nightclub in Wynwood
Miami girls trip: Day 3
Sunday funday! You’ll probably be heading home today, but here are few more suggestions for things to do in case you have a few hours to kill.
- Ocean Drive: Touristy area but cool to see nonetheless. There are tons of art deco buildings and bars to sit and people watch.
- Collins Avenue: This is the street that runs parallel to all the best beaches. Take a walk down Collins Ave and pick a quiet spot to soak in the sun.
- Lincoln Road: Definitely check out this pedestrian street in Miami Beach if you haven’t already! There are tons of shops, cafes, and restaurants to explore.
- Bayside Marketplace: This is a cute shopping area on the water and it’s only about 15 minutes away from the airport!
- Little Havana: This is the heart of Miami’s Cuban diaspora. Wander around Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street) and grab some Cuban coffee or mojito before your flight.
- Wynwood District: You’ve probably already seen part of this area, but definitely check out some of the murals if you haven’t already!
If you have more time in Miami
If your Miami girls trip is more week than weekend, here are some more fun things to do to consider!
- Miami Design District: Explore this small neighborhood, where you’ll find modern architecture, high-end designer stores, and public art everywhere you look.
- Key Biscayne: This is an island connected to Miami with a stretch of highway. There are mangroves, tropical forests, and beautiful beaches along Biscayne Bay.
- Everglades National Park: Take a day trip to this cool National Park that’s less than 2 hours from Miami. You can go kayaking, biking, or boating through the thick swamps!
- Key West: Another easy day trip from Miami, Key West is the southernmost point of the continental US. Go sightseeing and have a meal at one of the many beautiful restaurants on the water.
