Google Flights is hands-down the best website to compare flights. Start your search here and then cross-check other websites to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

Scott’s Cheap Flights

If you want to travel but don’t care when or where, Scott’s is the service for you. Their free flight alert emails tell you whenever there’s a particularly great deal on airfare from your favorite airports!

Skyscanner

Somehow, Skyscanner is always able to find the cheapest prices on flights. Their Everywhere search feature is also great to play with when you’re feeling adventurous.

Kiwi.com

Kiwi.com is another great site to search for flights, rental cars, and accommodation. I would recommend starting your search here and then booking directly on the airline’s website — it’s often the best deal.

Priority Pass

A Priority Pass subscription gives you access to hundreds of fancy airport lounges around the world. If you’re a frequent flyer, all of the free food and drinks you’ll get will more than make up for the yearly cost.

Sleeping in Airports

This website is a lifesaver for when you find yourself on an unexpected (or voluntary, if you’re as cheap as I am) overnight layover. All of the most sleep-friendly spots in one place!

Airbnb

Airbnb is my go-to for unique, memorable, and private accommodations. Make sure to book with a Superhost and read through the listing’s reviews for the best experience.

VRBO

VRBO is another great website to find holiday homes and self-catering accommodations. I’ve also found their customer service super helpful whenever an issue arises.

Booking.com

I love using Booking.com when traveling solo or abroad. Their Genius loyalty program gives you great discounts, room upgrades, and free breakfasts once you reach the top tier!

Hostelworld

I love a good private hostel room, even though I’m a bit older and over the whole “hostel scene.” Hostelworld is the best place to book because they have tons of options and super competitive prices.

Google Maps

The ultimate in trip planning and navigation. I use the app all the time to save places I want to visit — I organize them by country so they’re all on one convenient map once it’s time to start planning my trip.

Rome2rio

Rome2rio is one of the best apps that I’ve found for navigating from Point A to Point B. You just plug in your start and end points and it gives you all of the available transit options, times, and prices.

Enterprise

Enterprise is my favorite rental car brand because they make everything so easy. Booking, picking up, and dropping off your rental car is quick and seamless (because the last thing you want to do after a long flight is deal with logistics).

Discover Cars

Discover Cars is an aggregator tool that searches the best deals from all of the top rental car brands. Comparison shopping is the best way to save money!

Flixbus

With more than 3,000 destinations, Flixbus is the most comprehensive bus network in Europe. Tickets are cheap and the buses are relatively comfortable, with free wifi, outlets, and spacious seats.

Omio

Omio is a website that compares prices on trains, buses, flights, and ferries within Europe, the US, and Canada. You can book directly through their site and download your mobile ticket on the spot.

Rail Europe

Rail Europe is exactly what it sounds like — a website that helps you book train tickets within Europe. They partner with tons of different operators and offer discounts on Eurail and Interrail passes.

GetYourGuide

GetYourGuide is the bomb. They have all sorts of tours and activities, from walking tours to skip-the-line museum tickets and more! Their cancellation policy is also super flexible and great for indecisive travelers.

Viator

Viator is another massive name in tourism, and for good reason. They offer unique experiences and guided tours that you won’t find anywhere else.

Big Bus Tours

Big Bus is the king of double-decker, open-top, hop-on hop-off bus tours. While definitely touristy, these buses are actually super fun and convenient if you want to see a lot in a short amount of time.

EatWith

EatWith is a cool platform that lets you book cooking classes, food tours, and dinners with local hosts. These experiences are a great way to get a taste of your destination’s culture and meet new people.

Chase Sapphire Preferred

My Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card is the only one I use when traveling. It’s great for earning points, has no foreign transaction fees, and comes with a lot of other annual perks.

XE

I use the XE app to quickly figure out currency conversions while on the road. They’ve also launched a money transfer service that has lower fees than traditional banks — it’s great for sending money between international bank accounts!

Rakuten

If you shop online, you need to download the Rakuten Chrome extension. It gives you cash back on your purchases when you activate a shopping trip. Free money, literally!

Pinterest

No matter what some people may say, Pinterest definitely isn’t dead when it comes to bringing in blog traffic. If you want a quick and easy way to get more eyeballs on your posts, making Pinterest pins is the way to go.

Canva

I use Canva to create all of the graphics on my site (including the ones on this page!). It’s very user-friendly, even for people without an eye for design. Their free version is stacked with features, but the premium tier is even better.

Notion

I’m a massive Notion stan. It’s such a powerful tool that can keep your work, school, and personal lives organized (and aesthetically-pleasing). I use it to plan out my blog posts and keep my notes organized.

Keysearch

Keyword research is the secret to getting blog posts that rank on the first page of Google. Keysearch helps by giving you a bunch of data about your chosen keywords and whether they’re worth writing about.

RankIQ

RankIQ is my holy grail blogging resource. It curates the best keywords for your niche and helps you write posts that rank. Since using it, so many of my posts have gone on to be really successful. It’s pretty expensive, but 1000% worth it.
