During my last trip to Miami, I stayed at the Novotel Brickell hotel. With a charming lobby, modern decor, and a rooftop pool (!!!), this hotel had everything I could ask for. Read on for an overview of my stay and a description of what to expect during your visit.
Novotel Brickell overview
The Novotel Brickell is located in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami, known as the “Manhattan of the South” for its plethora of restaurants and shops. The area is super trendy and up-and-coming, with lots of young people and swanky hotels moving in recently. South Beach is only a 20-minute drive from Brickell, making it the perfect jumping-off point for any Miami vacation!
The hotel itself is modern and very cute. The lobby is decorated with towering artificial palm trees and lots of pink velvet couches, giving it a very Instagram-worthy aesthetic. Its bright and airy vibe makes it the perfect spot to do some work or have a drink from the lobby bar UVA. In addition to the lobby bar, the hotel also has its own restaurant called Prime by Butler that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Additionally, the Novotel Brickell also hosts various events throughout the year on their property. You can attend movie screenings, hot yoga classes, art installations, and more.
Novotel Brickell amenities
I stayed in a regular Superior King room. My room had a massive (and very comfortable!) bed, a smart TV, a mini-fridge, and a bathroom with plenty of counter space. These rooms include every amenity you would expect from a nice hotel, including an ironing board, hairdryer, coffee and tea station, and fancy soaps.
Apart from standard-sized rooms, the hotel also offers Executive and Skyline Suites. These rooms are more expensive, but are larger and come with separate living and sleeping areas. The fact that they’re on higher floors also means better views of the surrounding city skyline.
Rooms start at $229 a night.

Rooftop pool
This was my absolute favorite part of the hotel! The rooftop deck includes a pool, the Vista Pool bar, plenty of lounge chairs and couches, and a bangin’ view of the downtown Miami skyline.
On Saturday afternoons, the pool deck hosts an event called Sunset Session where you can enjoy the sunset, some cocktails, and music from a live DJ. You can buy a day pass to these events even if you’re not staying at the Novotel Brickell! Tickets cost $25 for one person and $45 for two. They include a welcome cocktail and free parking.

Final thoughts
I really enjoyed my time at the Novotel Brickell! The staff members were extremely kind, the rooftop bar poured a tasty drink, and the pool was incredible. I’d recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Miami and not wanting to stay in South Beach. The Brickell neighborhood is very walkable and less rowdy than the beach areas (but still a lot of fun). Plus, you’re closer to other cool areas like Wynwood and Little Havana.
